    18 HOURS OF DAILY ROUTINE

    Serie of 3 C-Prints, 200x105, 2012

The starting point for this project was the different living situations within a family. Some people are recently retired, one has been for quite a long time. One just started to work, others have been working for a long time. One is studying and another recently had a child. All of them get a single-use camera and their job is to document their life on a typical day. Every hour from 7am until midnight, a picture should be taken - from the viewing perspective of the person taking the photo. If someone is sleeping already, the picture is black. Because of the choice to use single-use cameras, maybe some mistakes happen. It’s not possible to look at, check or to redo the pictures. Probably because of this the photos are more authentic.

Nine different everyday lives - with some intersections - were put together on large contact prints.

Many thanks to Fritz, Harald, Doris, Markus, Matthias, Mani, Fabi and Stephan.
